Aspen Vision City Development Update

Covering 245 acres of freehold land in Bandar Cassia, Batu Kawan, Aspen Vision City is the collaboration between Aspen Group and Ikano Pte Ltd, owner of popular furniture franchise IKEA.

Among the key highlights of Aspen Vision City is the development of an integrated shopping centre and the Northern Region’s very first IKEA store. The much-anticipated IKEA furniture store as well as the shopping centre will be placed under the management of Ikano Pte Ltd.

Strategically located at the landing point of the Second Penang Bridge, Aspen Vision City offers a mix of condominiums, shop offices, serviced suites, hotels, office tower, financial hub, medical centre and international school.

Current Developments:

Vervea –  The first phase of Aspen Vision City’s development at the heart of Bandar Cassia, Batu Kawan. Located on a 35-acre freehold land, claimed to be the largest gated and guarded commercial precinct developed in Penang.

Vertu Resort – The very first resort inspired high-rise development by Aspen Group at Batu Kawan, with a gross development value (GDV) of RM620mil. This is the second phase (and the first residential development) in Aspen Vision City.

Vittoria –  Commercial development by Aspen Group at Aspen Vision City in Batu Kawan. It is strategically located next to Vertu Resort Condominium and the future Columbia Asia Medical Centre, right opposite KDU University College.

Viluxe – Gated and guarded luxurious designer bungalow development by Aspen Group in Aspen Vision City. It comprises 157 units zero-lot bungalow with direct access to the future 25-acre Central Island Park. There will be 6 design types to choose from.

IKEA – This  will be the forth IKEA store in Malaysia and the second one outside of Klang Valley after Johor Bahru. The new store is expected to open for public by Q1 2019.

Utropolis @ Batu Kawan Development Update

The 44.3-acre Utropolis Batu Kawan development, with an approximate Gross Development Value (GDV) of RM1.8 billion, comprises well-integrated residential, commercial, retail and hotel components, anchored by a new flagship campus for KDU Penang University College, owned and operated by Paramount Education. The 10.5-acre campus will be the biggest purpose-built campus in Batu Kawan when fully completed.

Work on the development has commenced; the campus is scheduled for completion by 2019, while the first phase of the property development offering, comprising offices and retail shops, is now on sale, with gross prices starting from RM326,600. The second phase is expected to launch soon.

The Ship Campus (ALC College)

The Ship Campus (ALC College) is an upcoming university campus in Batu Kawan, combining an eco-friendly campus with a dynamic blend of technology and innovation to enable professional learning.

The 5-acre campus is strategically located at the southern part of Batu Kawan and it is part of PKT’s “One Auto Hub” project. It designed like a ship and able to accommodate about 5,000 students. The campus is expected to be ready by end of 2018.

This development will see the construction of a 9-storey campus and 4 blocks of 8-storey hostel for students.

Eco Horizon & Eco Sun

EcoWorld unveils its newest projects — Eco Horizon and Eco Sun. Be enchanted by the grace and beauty of these latest additions to Batu Kawan. The land would be developed by Eco Horizon Sdn Bhd into two complementary townships, which would have a combined gross development value of RM7.76 billion.

The 122ha Eco Horizon is situated just off the primary interchange linking the Second Penang Bridge to the North-South Highway. The 30ha Eco Sun is located along Cassia Town Highway close to the Penang State Stadium.
