    I’m so disappointed with this action, although I’m very exited with seaside condo development such s this, but the demolition of such an memorable monument is unbelievable.

    Moreover, Penang has a unique preservation technique of building a highrise on top and around an existing pre-war building in order to preserve the building, moreover the pre-war / heritage building would be refurbished and utilized well. So I’m completely in shock why this was not done to this building.

    The presence of the heritage building with such a slope touching the shore with the infinity blue backdrop is a real charm with ancient and out of the era feeling.

    Memorable but not put to good use anyway. Not like they turn it into Boon Siew museum or penang automobile historical museum.

    The preservation u mentioned because those buildings are heritage. This is private.
    It’s up to the owner what to do with the land, same goes to Turf Club.
