    I think this is just a political diplomatic crap, just to make sure USA state sec gets a warm welcome during his visit to msia. Trust me, msians won’t be benefitting from the whole RM30b being invested in over the 10 years, we’d probably get only 10% of that over 20 years!! And by the way, semiconductor packaging ranks almost the lowest in terms of technology in the chain of chip production.

    Luckily our PM also played it smart, highlighting (almost in the face of Blinken’s) recently in a summit that CHINA remains the biggest foreign investor in Msia. So like it or not, USA is no longer the only TaiKo on planet earth now.
