    Those units facing west sun (hill view) should be very hot in the whole afternoon, u have to take some big ‘papan’, dark tinted and 3 layers thick curtains to block the sun light, aircond tune to high cool to eliminate the terrible heating. Actually concrete wall is better than glass wall, glass is nice look but not suitable for this purpose. Sun temperature is getting higher and higher every year ……. Wah! Tak boleh tahanlol !!!

    yes, it will be hot,…BUT those that can buy and stay at skycube will definitely have the mean of paying for the air con bill. So are many other buyers of residential properties that are facing west.

    101% agreed!! Landed properties and condos never…..never….. facing west, this is the main requirement for those who want to buy house. Unless u are ‘Ang Mo Kau’, like hot sun & sun burn. Hahaha…….

    Those stay in super condo, they afford to pay for high air con bills. But those medium & low income ppl is different story. If 2 air con X 6 hrs a day X 365 days X 10 years = $$$$$ is a burden for them. 2nd thing is SR is a small unit, can easily heat up by the noon sun, but landed properties is totally different.

    Many had advised,….before one buy a property, one had to know their affordability on house repayment, renovation, up keeping and still be able to live comfortably and etc…..
    it is really no “fun” to have to regret it later when one realized that he/she cannot afford the other supplementary expenses that comes with owning a property.

U think SR residents all big taukehah, they mostly work in FTZ ‘makan gaji’ only. They have to learn how to save cost to cover for GST, inflation, insurance, family & unforseen expencess, etc.

    NOTHING out of topic……the westward facing properties had been here since 1970s…still there are many had stayed there, will continue to stay there, bought and will continue to buy them …west facing or not………..
    your main point is to insult those FTZ working buyers by telling them to have to learn how to save cost to cover for GST, inflation, insurance, family & unforseen expencess, etc…..so that they can afford HIGH air cond bill or better save it for other necessities expenses by advising them don’t buy house facing west.
    I am sure those the had purchased and those that continue to buy would have considered that expenses, else they will be in deep shit if they cannot afford another app RM200 per month electricity usage expenses after buying it.

    it’s not tinted, developer only give u the dark color glasses. If really tinted glass, they have to put a tinted layer on the glass to reduce the sun heat. Just like our car tinted window glass. Hahaha !!!

    Sorry for asking this so late as i see 70+ people already befriended with the Skycube Residence Owner. Anyway can the FB group be a “Group” and not a “Person”. I would want to know who is(are) the admin(s) behind the group, creating it as a person doesn’t show who you are, unless you want to post your selfies there. We are disclosing some sensitive info to you to join the group so transparency of you is key here. I believe if the group is transparent enough more people will join in and we owners will be able to better discuss on issues.

    Can I get some recommendation for renting agent please? My aunty wants to rent out her unit because hes husband just pass away so won’t be looking to move in so quickly. Her plan now is to rent it out, I’m staying overseas so can’t help her to look for tenant and manage the property.

    Tinted film also no use, because west sun really hot and the heat in the rooms like baking oven. Aircon also not effective unless switch to max. (high bill). Haha!! Good luck for those facing west residents and have a happy sauna enjoy afternoon. Hehe!!

    can try this..
    just install a blind ‘outside’ the sliding door.
    these can prevent the sun heat direct contact
    to your glass.
    when the heat not contact to the glasses the
    room should be cooler.
