Utropolis @ Batu Kawan Development Update

The 44.3-acre Utropolis Batu Kawan development, with an approximate Gross Development Value (GDV) of RM1.8 billion, comprises well-integrated residential, commercial, retail and hotel components, anchored by a new flagship campus for KDU Penang University College, owned and operated by Paramount Education. The 10.5-acre campus will be the biggest purpose-built campus in Batu Kawan when fully completed.

Work on the development has commenced; the campus is scheduled for completion by 2019, while the first phase of the property development offering, comprising offices and retail shops, is now on sale, with gross prices starting from RM326,600. The second phase is expected to launch soon.

    I believe there still some units left…level 2 around 600k to 700k…level 3 400k to 500k

    my husband and i actually get a unit here but we planned to rent it out for KDU students.
    now i am cracking head that my company will be shifted to mainland, should i get another unit or stay here.

    when i purchased, the promotion cut off, however after i purchased, they increased the promotion rebates. how could this be actually, although we are upset but seems like the demand for rental is there so forget about it. but is that real?

    I think since your original plan was to rent out this unit, a logical decision would be to buy another unit if you will be moving to mainland. Simple, why need to crack your head?

    You mentioned “……but seems like the demand for rental is there”. Based on what did you come to that conclusion? Is KDU Batu Kawan up and in operation already?

    Why worries? Stick to your plan to keep the unit for collecting rental from KDU students.
    Meanwhile, find out where your company is going to move to, then buy another unit nearby to save the petrol and time, not necessarily buying another unit at Batu Kawan if it’s not close to your new office location

    yeah. i have been passing by recently and it seems alright for the entire planning in batu kawan and the college is under con now

    true also la. i heard that ecoworld launching soon. must be another adding point for those project in batu kawan.
